Webflow Integration

Connect your Webflow website with RankHit using a Webflow site access token.

How the Webflow Integration Works

The Webflow integration lets you connect RankHit to your Webflow CMS and publish generated articles without manually copying content into Webflow.

Once connected, RankHit can send your articles directly to your Webflow Blog Posts Collection.

Before You Start

You will need:

  • A Webflow site with CMS enabled
  • A CMS Collection for your blog posts
  • Site Owner or Administrator access in Webflow
  • A Webflow site access token with CMS read and write permissions

Setup Instructions

Step 1: Create a Webflow Site Access Token

  1. Open your Webflow Dashboard
  2. Select the website you want to connect
  3. Go to Site settings → Apps & integrations → API access
  4. Click Generate API token
  5. Name the token RankHit
  6. Enable the required permissions: CMS: Read and write and Sites: Read
  7. Click Generate token
  8. Copy the token immediately

Note: Webflow displays the complete token only once. If you lose it, create a new token.

Step 2: Connect Webflow to RankHit

  • Log in to RankHit
  • Go to Settings
  • Select Integration
  • Choose Webflow
  • Paste your token into the Site access token field
  • Click Continue

RankHit will validate the token and connect your Webflow CMS.

What Gets Published

RankHit can send the following article data to Webflow:

  • Article title
  • Full article content with headings and formatting
  • SEO title and meta description
  • URL slug
  • Featured image
  • Publication date
  • Tags or categories, where available
  • Draft or published status

Publishing Options

Draft Mode

Articles are added to Webflow as drafts so you can review the content, links, images, and metadata before publishing. This is recommended for most websites.

Auto-publish

Articles are published directly to your Webflow website after generation. Use this option only if you do not need an editorial review before publication.

Troubleshooting

“Invalid token” error

Make sure you copied the complete Webflow site access token. If necessary, generate a new token in Webflow and paste it into RankHit again.

Connection fails

Confirm that the token was created for the correct Webflow project and has CMS read and write permissions.

Articles are not appearing in Webflow

Make sure your Webflow project has a Blog Posts CMS Collection and that the site access token has CMS write permission.

Articles are saved as drafts

This is expected when Draft Mode is enabled. Open the article in your Webflow CMS, review it, then publish it when ready.

Featured image is missing

Make sure your Webflow Blog Posts Collection includes an image field for featured images.

Security & Best Practices

  • Treat your Webflow site access token like a password
  • Never share it publicly or add it to a public code repository
  • Create a dedicated token named RankHit so you can revoke it without affecting other integrations
  • Use Draft Mode if you want editorial control
  • Revoke and replace the token immediately if you believe it was exposed
